1903- Rare - Wizard of Oz jewelry Box

2.25x3-3/8x2.5" tall (to top of Cowardly Lion figural lid handle). Die-cast hinged-lid jewelry box w/gilt finish. Among the first Oz novelties, these jewelry boxes were presented to female patrons of the 100th performance of "The Wizard Of Oz" musical, which opened at New York City's Majestic Theatre on Jan. 21, 1903. The cast featured David Montgomery, Fred Stone, Anna Laughlin, Arthur Hill, Bessie Wynn and Grace Kimball. The musical was produced by Fred Hamlin w/music by Paul Tietjens. Underside of box has raised "Majestic Theatre - 100th Performance - Wizard Of Oz - Wednesday April 15, 1903" text and features "JB 827" maker's mark. This musical was the longest-running show of the decade, w/293 performances. An outstanding Oz rarity. -
Rare 1971 Ceramic Bookends Tin Man & Scarecrow Progressive ART Prod Wizard of Oz

These are from the 1971, by Progressive Art Productions. This is for the Tin Man, and Scarecrow. These are in really good shape for their age. The Tin Man has a couple scuff marks, hard to see with the shiney coating. Scarecrow, has been repaired. -

Franklin Mint Globes are a Limited Edition and have a Sculpt No. on the bottom. Made in 1997 in China. Globes measure approximately 5" tall and 4" in diameter from the bottom, are marked on the bottom with the title of the song, and also have a wind-up key. Scenes are created with great detail. The characters look very much like the ones in the movie. The original work of art is crafted in hand-painted Tesori porcelain, covered with a genuine crystal dome and set on a handsomely painted cold-cast base. These globes has been designated a Franklin Mint Heirloom Recommendation and is issued in an edition strictly limited to 95 casting days and was available exclusively through The Franklin Mint. In excellent condition; globes come off for easy cleaning. There are no chips, cracks, or breaks. -
