Wonderful Wizard of Oz Geo M. Hill, 1st edition, 1st state "B" Binding
Only 1 left in stock1st edition, 1st state. "B" Binding. Complete text with 20 color plates. This copy missing 4 color plates ( plates opposite of page 80,138,160 and 212). 3 most important plates of the first state are all there ( no copyright entry on the rear of the title page, two dots in the moon on plate of page34, and red shading on the horizon of page 92). The text is a first state without a correction. At some point since this book was falling a part, an owner decided to take a book to the book binder in order to restore. Book binder looks like remove a text block from the cover and resew the pages that they are firmly attached to each other. At the same time a few plates that were coming out of the book, placed back in the book. Since book binder did not know exact position of the plates, he placed two of them in the wrong position before resewing. In addition, book binder decided to trim edges of the book in order to make them even and then reattached to the existing cover. As a result book in the good condition.
